imageData Group Installs Müller Martini Primera C130 Saddle Stitcher

1st December 2010

The ergonomically designed, Primera C130 delivers quality stitched products with minimum wastage. The stitcher incorporates automatic synchronisation of the feeder and gathering chain which enables quicker set-up times. And, to enhance quality control even further, it utilises an Asir 3 automatic signature barcode or image recognition system, ensuring products are complete and accurately assembled.

David Danforth, imageData Group's Chief Executive said of the new purchase: "We have other Müller Martini machines within the company, and we have found them both reliable and cost-effective. Choosing the Primera was an easy decision for us as it's fast, ergonomically designed, compact and amply automated, as well as having the Müller Martini pedigree. The new system has helped speed up the binding process, a huge advantage as we ramped up production for the Christmas season."

The new purchase forms part of an ongoing investment programme at the Group which, in the last twelve months, has also purchased a large format Agfa :M-Press TIGER, a HP Indigo 7000 digital press, a Zünd G3 L-3200 cutting table, two :Azura TS (chemical free) Computer-to-Plate Systems and Apogee Workflow.
