A Bit of Creative Thinking for BBC Look North

14th June 2007

A Bit of Creative Thinking for BBC Look North core-iD, a division of imageData Group, has been selected by the regional East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire BBC to create a logo for the launch of its Junior Look North Reporter initiative.

The logo and accompanying teacher resource material is being used to help launch a new project for BBC Hull which encourages teachers and pupils to produce short filmed news or current affairs video packages that may ultimately appear on Look North later this year.

core-iD Group Marketing Director, Mandy Long, is delighted with the outcome of the project, "It's a real accolade for our design team to be working with such a recognized and well respected brand. I know that the team has had a lot of fun with the brief and we hope that this shows in the result."

Paul Corcoran, BBC Learning Project Manager commented: "Several designs were submitted by core-iD for consideration including some featuring microphones and stars. However, we chose the logo design which ‘hijacked' the Look North logo. We felt that this was fun whilst building on Look North's strong brand heritage within its catchment area."
